Pepper Palooza

Last Saturday, LEAP and Fermented Fire teamed up to bring a spicy theme to the weekly Grandin Farmers Market. We had a hot pepper eating contest, where our champion Josh downed multiple full ghost pepper before the competition finally bowed out. For our part, we put together fermentation kits, complete with jar, weight, fermentation lid, specialty peppers from our greenhouses, and a recipe card. I had a great time educating folks on fermentation and look forward to hearing everyone’s experiences. Stay tuned for more fermentation kits - I may continue to offer them on a regular, yet limited basis!
